Spin the Wheel

Add options and spin a random wheel. Your text never leaves your browser.

How to use the wheel

  1. Type your options, one per line or separated by commas. The wheel updates as you type.
  2. Press "Spin the wheel". It turns several times and stops with the top arrow on the winning slice.
  3. The result is shown under the wheel. Press again to spin again.

How the result is decided

The spin is the show; the winner is chosen by a random number at the moment you press the button, and the wheel stops with the arrow inside that slice. With 6 slices each one has exactly a one-in-six chance. To weight the odds, add an option on several lines.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wheel really random?

Yes. When you press Spin, your browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) picks the winning slice first, and the wheel is turned so it stops on that slice. Spin speed and click timing have no effect, and every slice has the same chance.

Can I give one option a better chance?

All slices are the same size. To improve the odds of an option, add it on more than one line — "Pizza" twice means two slices and double the chance.

How many options can I add?

From 2 to 50. With many slices the labels get small, so short names read best.

Can I remove each winner and keep spinning?

Turn on "Remove the winner for the next spin" and the picked option disappears from the list after each result — handy for taking turns or assigning chores.
